Think About It: Comey Wouldn't Do This Now--Political Suicide--Without Something Grave Uncovered
"The revelation...emerged in the form of a letter from FBI Director James Comey to lawmakers. He advised the legislative branch that 'emails that appear to be pertinent' to the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s personal email server were uncovered 'in connection with an unrelated case,' and were under FBI review 'to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation.'"
"Our investigation?" What investigation? Thought Comey closed the book on the Hillary investigation in July? Perhaps not?
"[F]ormer FBI assistant director James Kallstrom told the Fox News host that he thinks 'something big is going to happen' with regard to the investigation of Hillary Clinton's emails...He also says that he suspects internal disagreements within the FBI forced Director Comey to act so suddenly in the final weeks before the election. 'I think he couldn’t hold onto it any longer,' Kallstrom said. 'Because who knows? Maybe the locals would have stepped in on this.' By 'locals,' Kallstrom is referring to the New York branch of the FBI, which is capable of acting relatively independently."
And even a stoned, er, uh, stopped clock is right twice a day:
“'Obviously, the FBI didn’t do this lightly,' [Gary Johnson] said. 'There has to be something there.'"
"'The atmosphere at the FBI has been toxic ever since Jim announced last July that he wouldn't recommend an indictment against Hillary,' said the source, a close friend who has known Comey for nearly two decades, shares family outings with him, and accompanies him to Catholic mass every week."
Another Catholic in the political realm bowing to the pressure that is "Clinton, Inc."
"'Some people, including department heads, stopped talking to Jim, and even ignored his greetings when they passed him in the hall,' said the source. 'They felt that he betrayed them and brought disgrace on the bureau by letting Hillary off with a slap on the wrist.'
"According to the source, Comey fretted over the problem for months and discussed it at great length with his wife, Patrice. He told his wife that he was depressed by the stack of resignation letters piling up on his desk from disaffected agents.
"'The people he trusts the most have been the angriest at him,' the source continued. 'And that includes his wife, Pat. She kept urging him to admit that he had been wrong when he refused to press charges against the former secretary of state.
"'He talks about the damage that he's done to himself and the institution [of the FBI], and how he's been shunned by the men and women who he admires and work for him. It's taken a tremendous toll on him.'"

"After Abortion,...run by Emily Peterson and Annie Banno, two women who had abortions in the 1970s, ...tries to avoid the political tug-of-war that tends to come with this turf. They concentrate instead on discussing the troubling personal effects of abortion on the mothers." ~ Eric Scheske, Godspy contributing editor, in NC Register's "Signs of Life in the Blogosphere", 2/2006
"Godbloggers could, in the best of worlds, become the new apologists...[including] laymen with day jobs: Emily Peterson and Annie Banno, for instance, at the blog After Abortion..."~ Jonathan V. Last, The Weekly Standard online editor, in First Things's "God on the Internet", 12/2005

"I would now like to say a special word to women who have had an abortion...[many are] aware of the many factors which may have influenced your decision, and [do] not doubt that it was a painful and even shattering decision. The wound in your heart may not yet have healed. Certainly what happened was and remains terribly wrong. But do not give in to discouragement and do not lose hope. Try rather to understand what happened and face it honestly. If you have not already done so, give yourselves over with humility and trust to repentance. The Father of mercies is ready to give you his forgiveness and his peace...You will come to understand that nothing is definitively lost and you will also be able to ask forgiveness from your child..."
